About the Blog
This space is all about celebrating the Philippines — its beauty, traditions, and flavors — while also sharing a bit of my own creative journey. Here’s what you’ll find when you explore:
Cultural Insights — Stories of festivals, family traditions, and the values that shape Filipino life — shared through the eyes of someone born and raised in the Philippines.
Traditional Filipino Food — Easy-to-follow recipes, food history, and regional favorites that bring the flavors of home right to your table.
Language Guides — Tagalog basics, pronunciation tips, and everyday phrases to help you connect more deeply with Filipino culture.
Travel Tips — Guides to exploring the Philippines, from world-famous islands like Palawan and Boracay to hidden gems most tourists never see.
My Creative Side — Alongside culture and stories, I share my own art and designs, which I’ve turned into unique products on Zazzle. From personalized planners to gifts and home décor, you can check out my favorite picks on my shop page.
About Me
Hi, I’m Cyril — a Filipino born and raised in the Philippines, now living in the U.S. with my husband and our homeschooler son.
I started this blog as a way to share the richness of Filipino culture with people everywhere — whether you’re a fellow Filipino abroad longing for a taste of home, a first-time visitor planning a trip, or simply someone curious about our islands.
Beyond blogging, I’m a homeschooling mom, a faith-filled creator, and an artist. My love for creativity shows up in the printables and designs I create.
This blog is my way of blending my passions — for culture, travel, family, food, faith, and art — into one meaningful space. I’m so glad you’re here, and I hope you leave feeling inspired, connected, and maybe even a little more in love with the Philippines.
Mabuhay! 🇵🇭
